The second beach cleanup arranged by Rotary Club Bali Lovina on Friday August 21 was a great success. We would like to thank
- Sekolah Dasar MI Hasanuddin, Kaliasem, Lovina

- Organisation of business people at Lovina beach - Sadar Wisata Segara Lovina, Desa Kaliasem
- 9 tourists on holiday who joined the clean up
- Staff from Kalibukbuk Tourist Office
- Manager and Staff from Bali Lovina Beach Hotel
- Desa Kaliasem
for their valued support.

| One of the challenges was a rubbish dump by the river near the beach. This eyesore was right beside the bridge used by many tourists every day. The team collected the plastics and other packaging into the bags for weigh-in, and raked the remaining organic material towards the river. Then a prepared sign was erected in the hope that at least some of the people who currently dump there will make the extra effort to take their rubbish to the Kaliasem collection point. |

| The Eco Van was located near to the dolphin statue in central Lovina, and the education session for the school children used the resources of the van. |

| The children sat on the beach behind the van and were given the information that they would need to know for the up-coming quiz. The children divided into teams to answer the quiz questions and the process created a healthy competitive spirit. |
