Tree Painting
Members of the Rotary Club of Bali Lovina were concerned about the number of accidents and fatalities involving motorbikes that were driving head on into trees along Jalan Raya Singaraja Seririt; particularly in the Kaliasem area.
Two members took the initiative to discuss this matter with the Kepala Desa of Kaliasem and as a result of this permission has been granted to paint white rings around the tree trunks in an endeavour to make them more visible to passing traffic.
The painting of the trees will be a team effort with the project being undertaken in the next 6-8 weeks.
Dolphin Statue Lovina Centre
One of the areas popular land marks that is located at the beach front in central Lovina is a stone carved art work consisting of five dolphins; dolphins being one of the regency's major attractions. The four smaller dolphins feature water fountains and when the water pump stopped working recently the Rotary Club of Bali Lovina arranged for a new one to be installed; this one being on a time switch system.
Now tourists and locals can relax throughout the course of the day and night listening and watching the tranquil water feature.
