Ubud, May 18th 2007 - A group from the Rotary Club of Bali Lovina was present at a presentation of an update of Al Gore's VCD "An Inconvenient Truth" which discusses global warming issues, presented in Ubud by the official representative of Al Gore in Indonesia, Mr. Emerald Starr. Afterwards the Rotarians from Lovina and Emerald Starr discussed Rotary Lovina's plans to reach the consciousness of the youth of North Bali by organizing a showing of a possible Indonesian version of the VCD at the schools.

Rotarian Victor Sinclair, "Mr. Emerald Starr presented among others the latest (2007) information on the progress of the melting of the ice caps. It appeared that the situation is much more serious than generally is considered. Adequate and immediate action is necessary. Since the youth are more receptive than their parents to important issues such as the consequences of global warming for our planet, it seems the right thing to do to organize special, dedicated presentations of the issue at the Indonesian schools".

On September 19th Emerald Starr visited Lovina to further discuss the plans of Rotary Bali Club Lovina and to present the latest version of "An Inconvenient Truth" to the people of North Bali.
