Rotarian Michael writes as follows:

SAM_1913While in USA  visiting my daughter and family in Framington MA late in June I attended a Framington Rotary Club meeting . Robbie already has the club flag the  president is handing to me in the attached pictures. His name is on their Framington website ..easy to google..They had around 60 members in attendance . I explained our Bali  Lovina Rotary  community projects  and also mentioned my Duyfken (Australia'ss first ship)  replica project. See attached photos.  In July returned to visit my brother and sister family members on east coast of  Australia and also visited my Uni brother Bruce Callaghan and also Duyfken now  in Sydney Harbour at the Australian National Maritime Museum (as in the photos). It was  so moving to witness the great Duyfken community support in Sydney. Many school groups and members of the public visit every day. Duyfken is proof that dreams can come true.

SAM_1994Late in July I returned to Perth to vist more family members. I gave another  Duyfken talk to our sister club..this time to the  Curtin Bently Rotary Club in Perth. Our Bal  Lovina rotary members now have minutes of this meeting. At both Framington and Perth  clubs I mentioned how Rotary members came and joined my Friends of the Duyfken club I started in Perth in 1995 to help with fund raising for Duyfken's reconstruction at  the Duyfken ship yard replica village in the forecourt of  the WA Maritime Historic Ship-wreck  Museum. This happened as in the mid 1990s as I  was the Duyfken 1606 Replica Foundation  guest speaker at almost every Rotary and Lions Club in Perth as well as at other venues.  In Perth I also showed the 52 minute documentary of the Duyfken 2000 Rediscovery of Australia Voyage of  the Duyfken replica sailing from Fremantle to the Spice Islands and on to Australia.
