February is World understanding month on the Rotary calendar, and on the 23^rd of February the world celebrates ‘World understanding and Peace day’.

RI President John Kenny states in his February message that "In this, World Understanding Month, we do well to remember -- that in all of our service, we reach for the larger goal of fellowship, understanding, and peace.'" (See the full message.)

In February Rotary Clubs all over the world reach across borders and cultures in the name of service and fellowship. The 23^rd of February is also when Rotary celebrates its 105^th anniversary, marking a special achievement toward the building of peace and goodwill around the world.
