Our guest speaker for may 19 was Marjolein Piepers who has almost completed her university studies, majoring in geography. A requirement of the course is to undertake a project – and this could be in the Netherlands, or in another country. She chose to complete this assignment working with the Window to the World school in Lovina. The title of the project is Around the World in 60 days.
Marjolein always had a great interest for the world around her, and knew from a very young age onwards that ‘geography’ was her major. At only 20 years of age Marjolein is about to finish her geography studies, and as part of the last requirements of her studies she has chosen to do a trainee ship of 5 months at the WttW school in Lovina. During her time at the WttW school Marjolein developed a special learning program focused on introducing children to different countries and cultures around the world.
She had slides to show us during the presentation, and you can see these here.
