DG Thomas Aquinas visited the Rotary Club of Bali Lovina for the second time in his term as District Governor; this time at their new club house.

The theme for this Rotary year; The Future of Rotary is in your hands-serve with Love.

After being collected from the airport in Denpasar DG Thomas visited a library for local children, called; "Pondok Baca" (reading corner) in Lovina that has been receiving Rotary funding for books for the past five years.

At our regular weekly meeting the DG Thomas took the opportunity to induct the clubs latest member Hans Joerg Schaeffer and presented an award to our Immediate Past President Conchita de Jong.

After lunch the DG gave a talk and slide show presentation about the works and responsibilities of Rotary Clubs, the program of District 3400 and the Rotary Foundation.

DG Thomas spoke about several topics one being Rotary's ongoing commitment to eradicating polio worldwide (which is still here on some islands in the Indonesian Archipelago) and the Rotary International $200 million challenge.

In Indonesia every club is expected to raise USD$1000 every year from five years as part of their commitment to achieving this world wide goal and here in Lovina we were able to donate our first $1,000 after our recent successful Christmas fundraiser.
