We arrived around 10:20am, and were warmly welcomed by teachers and shown into the meeting room where drinks and cakes were awaiting.  They then showed a well made video presentation that describes the courses at the school.  There are 1600 students altogether, and about 160 doing the Electrical Training.

We had a nice three day trip to the South and met with hundreds of new and old Rotary friends and partners from all over the country and abroad. The Conference was informative and well organized.  The dinners were great and attended by many.

It is incredible to see how many projects are going on in our District that are organized by our Rotary Clubs. Projects in the field of; water, dengue fever, reforestation, , disaster managment (shelterboxes), thallasemia, blindness from cataracts, cleft palates and many more. Also it is amazing to see how generous Rotarians in our ditsrict are donating to the Rotary Foundation. This way we can all help our Foundation to continue carrying out humanitarian projects like the fight againts Polio.  Rotary friends of many countries were present.

Dive Day - a special meeting PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 09 March 2011 00:00

DSC02164On March 9, the regular lunch-time meeting was replaced by all day event, first at Menjangan Island, then at Lovina Beach .Our special Dive Day was great or should I say the perfect way to mix fun with fundraising.  It was a fabulous educational adventure  and great credit to our  Rotary Club of Bali Lovina, and to Spice Dive for their professional instructors  and the tasty catering in between our dives..

The Megangan Island coral wall is truly fantastic. I  have never seen such beautiful coral and great variety of multi colored species of reef fish. A much greater variety of  fish species then I experienced at Lembongan Island 3 months ago. Was great for our Rotary members and rotary friends to catch up again. After our return to Lovina  we enjoyed evening food on the sand at Spice Cafe, watched a beautiful sunset, and swapped fishy stories.
